Homework Assignments: Week 10 English 10 Monday 10/29 Finish your prewriting and write the first two paragraphs of your essay. First drafts are due at the end of the period on Wednesday. Tuesday 10/30 Work on the first draft of your Antigone essay and study for Vocabulary Quiz #4. The quiz will be on Wednesday. Wednesday 10/31 No homework, unless you haven’t finished your Antigone essay. Happy Halloween! Thursday 11/01 Finish preparing for the Antigone exam and work on the second draft of your Antigone essay. The exam is Friday and second drafts are due Tuesday. Friday 11/02 Finish the second draft of your Antigone essay and read in your new IR book. Study for Vocabulary Quiz #4 (Tuesday) Homework Assignments: Week 9   Monday 10/22 Finish revising your essay on “Everyday Use.” Be sure to print out your essay and read it aloud and write a final, final draft after you’ve made all of your major content changes. Tuesday 10/23 Read to page 230 in Antigone. Read carefully so that you are prepared for a reading quiz and/or class discussion on Wednesday. Write down two quotations and complete one quotation reflection. Wednesday 10/24 Read to page 245 in Antigone. Read carefully so that you are prepared for class discussion on Thursday. Choose two significant quotations and write a quotation reflection on one of them. Try to write at least one page. Thursday 10/25 Do prewriting for each of the possible essay questions on the essay exam. Write down a tentative outline, find quotations, and write a thesis statement for each topic. Friday 10/26 Finish your Independent Reading. All IR tests must be taken by Tuesday, October 30th.
