4/30 Work on revising one of your timed writings from the last few weeks. Be sure to improve your content (based on class discussion and writing notes) and then to improve your writing style by revising for precise, active verbs, for sentence variety (long and short, varied beginnings), and for mature academic voice. Bring it to class tomorrow because we will work on improving style in class tomorrow.Thursday

5/8 Finish the SNT: S/he was too nice. Begin brainstorming for your short story. Your story should have one or two main characters with different personalities, a conflict that can be resolved by the end of the story, and lots of showing writing. Remember to plan a simple plot unless you want to write a 20 page story. Final drafts should be at least 5 pages long. Write down some ideas to show me on Tuesday.Tuesday
