- What section of the book are we in? Africa? Southern Asia?
- Country
- Write the full name of the country.
- LatLon
- Open Google Earth and put your cursor over the middle of the country you are working on.
- Write down the latitude and longitude found at the bottom of the screen.

- If you see decimals after the whole latitude or longitude number, you are fine. But if you see apostrophes or quotes, you need to change how it shows up in the "Preferences" menu.

- Once you've got it right, enter the latitude and longitude in the spreadsheet showing only the first two decimals and separated by a comma without a space after the comma.

- Go to CIA World Factbook and find your country.
- Right Click on the flag at the top of the page and select "properties"
- Highlight the "Address (URL)" and copy it.
- Paste into the spreadsheet
- GDP
- Enter the GDP from CIA World Factbook.
- Be sure you have the correct number of zeros.
- GDPperCapita
- Enter the GDP per Capita from CIA World Factbook.
- LitRate
- Enter the Literacy Rate from CIA World Factbook.
- Don't include the percent symbol.
- IMRate
- Enter the Infant Mortality Rate from CIA World Factbook.
- Just enter the main number.
- GovType
- This is under the government heading in CIA World Factbook.
- DateFounded
- Use the date for "Independence" under the Government heading in CIA World Factbook.
- There might be several dates. Use the oldest.
